Safety & standards

Respectful sites, tidy handovers and sensible risk control.

Every project is different, but the basics should be consistent: safe access, controlled dust, protected finishes and documented decisions.

Before work starts

  • Access and working hours agreed in writing
  • Key risks and live services identified
  • Protection requirements confirmed
  • Neighbours, tenants or staff considered where relevant

During the works

  • Named site contact for daily questions
  • Regular waste removal and tidy-downs
  • Photo updates for remote clients
  • Change notes before extra work proceeds

Documentation

Useful records without unnecessary bureaucracy.

For minor works, documentation should be proportionate: agreed scope, change notes, product references, basic handover information and a snagging record. Larger or specialist packages may require additional documentation from engineers, designers or subcontractors.

Where formal risk assessments, method statements or permits are required, we coordinate them before the relevant work starts.

Insurance & trades

Trade partners are selected for appropriate experience and insurance. Specialist works such as gas, electrical certification, structural design or asbestos management are handled by suitably qualified parties.
